Exploring the World of NFT Art with Viktoria Ölyüs

I'm Imre Bárándi, and I'd like to introduce you to the fascinating world of NFT art through the lens of Viktoria Ölyüs.

In the spring of 2022, a new hobby turned into a passionate pursuit for Viktoria - collecting digital images. She had always been intrigued by maps and the topography of the Earth, enjoying the exploration of different landscapes. When she stumbled upon NFTs, it was a natural progression for her to create the "Feelings on the Canvas" collection and build her brand. NFTs opened up new avenues for her in terms of creating and selling art.

Viktoria's artistic style can be described as "topographical art." Her NFTs are inspired by the topographic features of our planet, each based on a specific, identifiable location.

Her work serves as a homage to the Earth's beauty and natural treasures, showcasing the diverse landscapes found across the globe.

The transition from traditional art to NFTs involves the reversal of the physical representation of her collection. While these pieces are originally created digitally, they are also offered for sale as physical prints and other merchandise.

Viktoria gathers suitable images from various maps since she doesn't have access to satellites. She then manipulates and renders these digital images to align with her distinctive style.

She primarily shares and sells her NFTs on the Binance marketplace, connecting with her audience through this platform.

When considering the differences between NFT art and traditional art, Viktoria emphasizes the changing landscape of the art world due to digitalization. As information technology advances and digital currencies emerge, the digital space plays an increasingly significant role in our lives. NFT art is a result of this digital transformation, offering artists and collectors new opportunities to explore.

According to Viktoria, the key differences lie in market coverage and portability. The digital nature of NFTs allows for a broader reach and a different kind of accessibility compared to physical art.

As for her future plans in the NFT art scene, Viktoria acknowledges the challenges of being an NFT creator in Hungary. She aims to sell her NFTs and promote her brand. To achieve this, she hosts an annual Online NFT Exhibition featuring works by Hungarian NFT artists. This event takes place on the last Saturday of every September. Viktoria's artistic journey is greatly influenced by Hungary's environment and culture. She believes that the Hungarian context adds a unique perspective to her work. Therefore, she includes official translations of Hungarian poets' verses in the descriptions of her NFTs, enriching the meaning and emotions behind her creations.

Her first experience with NFTs was exceptional. During the upload of her "Feelings on the Canvas" collection, she also entered a competition by Binance seeking the top five NFT artists. She submitted her entry, and it was a resounding success. Viktoria earned the title of one of the Top 5 NFT artists and received a $600 prize. This inaugural NFT release was a special moment in her artistic journey and further solidified her commitment to the NFT world.

Viktoria's achievements in the NFT art realm include selling nine NFTs, some of which have been subsequently resold.

Finally, Viktoria has an encouraging message for young artists considering a career in NFT art:

"To fellow artists: I strongly recommend turning your artworks into NFTs. It's an excellent opportunity to sell your creations on a new platform independently of physical artwork. NFTs are entirely detached from the physical art, even if they mirror it entirely. NFTs open up international opportunities for you and help you reach a broader audience."

In a rapidly evolving art landscape, Viktoria Ölyüs stands as an example of how NFT art can be a transformative and rewarding journey for artists willing to embrace the digital realm.

More than 10 NFT artists will participate in our joint online exhibition. Come too, Saturday, September 30, 2023, 6:00 p.m
